Gravity Team is heading to Hong Kong FinTech Week 2026, where CEO & Co-founder, Martins Benkitis, will join a panel on the future of trading, next-generation market infrastructure and liquidity across global digital-asset markets.
Chapters
Hong Kong FinTech Week 2026 runs from 2 to 6 November, and the main conference takes place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 2 and 3 November. Alongside the panel, the team will be in Hong Kong to meet people building across trading, payments and digital-asset infrastructure.
This year, the event runs alongside StartmeupHK under the theme “Fintech Nexus: Bridging the World, Building the Future”. It brings together regulators, banks, payment companies, investors, founders and digital-asset businesses from across Asia and beyond. The Hong Kong FinTech Week programme expects more than 45,000 participants, over 1,000 speakers and 800 sponsors, exhibitors and startups, with more than 120 economies represented across the week.
For Gravity Team, Hong Kong is where this year's conversations continue on a global stage and where ideas for 2027 begin to take shape, as people across traditional finance and digital assets look at what comes next for the industry.
The future of trading infrastructure
Martins Benkitis, CEO and Co-founder of Gravity Team, will speak on the panel “The Future of Trading: Next-Generation Market Infrastructure and Liquidity” at 1:00 PM on Tuesday 3 November in Hall 5FG at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Steve Zeng, Partner at Panthertrade, Sean Ballard, Head of Derivatives and Institutional Business at Bybit, and Angela Ang, Managing Director APAC at BitGo, with Hanna Raftell, Founding Partner at Stratum 3 Ventures, moderating the 30-minute discussion.
The topic reflects how quickly trading infrastructure is changing. Digital assets now trade around the clock across centralised exchanges, decentralised venues and OTC markets, while banks and asset managers are bringing tokenised assets and stablecoins closer to their existing operations.
As more institutions take part, expectations around liquidity become more demanding. A trading venue needs order books that hold up during busy and volatile periods. An institution needs to execute meaningful size with predictable costs. A payment company needs conversion between fiat and stablecoins to work when clients need it, including outside local banking hours.
Next-generation market infrastructure has to support all of these needs at once, with reliable connectivity between venues, clear risk controls and settlement that works at both ends of a transaction.
Why Hong Kong matters
Hong Kong is one of Asia's leading international financial centres and an important link between global capital, Mainland China and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
Its approach to digital assets has developed within a regulated framework, with licensed virtual-asset trading platforms, tokenisation pilots and bank-led settlement projects shaping the local market.
Banks are assessing how tokenised deposits, stablecoins and on-chain settlement could support their clients. Payment companies are looking at faster ways to fund accounts across currencies and time zones. Asset managers and treasury teams want clearer access to digital-asset liquidity within familiar controls.
Across Asia, these needs vary between markets. Liquidity can be deep in Hong Kong dollars or US dollars and thinner in other regional currencies. Banking hours, cut-off times, local rules and payout infrastructure also differ from one corridor to the next.
Gravity Team has worked across global and emerging markets since 2017, supporting exchanges, institutions, payment companies and professional trading teams. Much of that work involves connecting liquidity across venues and currencies so value can move between digital-asset and traditional financial systems with fewer delays.

What Faster Settlement Changes for Payment Treasury Teams
Faster settlement can reduce pre-funded liquidity buffers, shorten FX exposure, improve cash forecasts and simplify reconciliation, giving payment treasury teams a clearer, earlier view of available funds in each cross-border payment corridor.
Stablecoin Settlement: When PSPs Build or Partner
Payment providers can build stablecoin settlement capabilities or partner with existing infrastructure. The right approach depends on corridor volume, payout access, liquidity needs, internal controls and operational ownership.
