Gravity Team is heading to Ho Chi Minh City for Conviction 2026, where our APAC Regional Business Developer, Ralph Idio, will join a panel exploring one of the fastest-moving areas of digital finance: stablecoin payments across Asia.

On Friday, 14 August 2026, Ralph will take part in “How Stablecoin Payments Are Taking Over Asia: Cards, Merchants, and Cross-Border Infrastructure.” The 30-minute panel begins at 2:30 PM at the Thiskyhall Sala Convention Center in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.

The conversation comes at an important moment for payments in the region. Stablecoins are increasingly moving beyond their crypto-native roots and into real-world financial infrastructure. Across Asia, businesses are exploring how blockchain-based dollars and other stable-value digital assets can support payments, settlement, merchant services, and the movement of money across borders.

From digital assets to payment infrastructure

Asia’s payments landscape is uniquely suited to this conversation. It combines highly digital consumers, rapidly growing fintech ecosystems, major cross-border commerce corridors, and markets where moving money internationally can still involve considerable cost and friction.

Stablecoins offer a different approach. Their ability to move value on blockchain rails, around the clock and across borders, creates new possibilities for businesses building payment products and serving international customers.

But widespread adoption is about much more than putting stablecoins on-chain.

For stablecoin payments to become useful at scale, the surrounding infrastructure needs to work: businesses need reliable liquidity, efficient conversion between digital assets and local currencies, merchant acceptance, compliant on- and off-ramps, and payment experiences that feel straightforward to the end user.

That is where the panel at Conviction 2026 will focus: on the intersection between cards, merchants, and cross-border infrastructure, and what needs to happen for stablecoin-powered payments to move further into everyday commerce.

A Gravity Team perspective from APAC

Ralph brings Gravity Team’s APAC business development perspective to the discussion, with a view into how liquidity and digital-asset infrastructure connect with businesses operating across the region.

For Gravity Team, the topic also sits naturally alongside our broader role in digital-asset markets. As stablecoins become more deeply integrated into payment and settlement flows, robust market infrastructure and access to liquidity remain essential parts of connecting blockchain-based assets with real-world financial activity.

Conviction offers an opportunity to discuss those developments alongside builders and businesses working directly on the next generation of payment infrastructure in Asia.

If you’re attending Conviction 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City, catch Ralph on Friday afternoon, and come say hello!
