Gravity Team is attending Stablecoin Summit Singapore during TOKEN2049 week, where CEO Martins Benkitis will join a panel on stablecoins, correspondent banking and the payment corridors where settlement infrastructure is changing.
The summit brings together people working across stablecoins, payments, banking, digital assets and financial infrastructure. Its programme includes keynote presentations, panel discussions and networking sessions focused on the development of stablecoins and digital finance. The Stablecoin Summit agenda includes discussions on infrastructure, market structure and payment use cases shaping the next stage of the stablecoin market.
For Gravity Team, the discussion is closely connected to the practical role stablecoins are beginning to play in cross-border payments and liquidity management.
Where stablecoins supplement correspondent banking
Martins Benkitis, CEO and Co-founder of Gravity Team, will speak on the panel, “Where Stablecoins Are Actually Supplementing Correspondent Banking”, at 3:15 PM on 8 October at Andaz Singapore.
He will be joined by Kirit Bhatia of Banking Circle, Drake Evans of Agora and Raj Parekh of Monad Foundation.
The panel title reflects an important practical question. Payment providers are assessing where stablecoin rails can support existing cross-border payment processes, particularly in corridors where correspondent relationships have thinned out or settlement remains slow and difficult to predict.
Many cross-border payments continue to require bank accounts, local conversion, compliance checks and a payout route at each end. Correspondent banks remain an important part of the financial system, particularly where local currency needs to reach a recipient account.
Stablecoin settlement can support specific funding and value-transfer steps within that wider payment process.
In some corridors, stablecoin rails can help move value between payment participants outside traditional banking hours, improve funding flexibility and shorten the time required to replenish liquidity in another market. The full payment still depends on usable local currency, reliable conversion and a working payout route.
That is why stablecoin settlement should be assessed at corridor level. A fast on-chain transfer does not automatically mean that a recipient can access funds quickly. Payment providers need to understand the entire route, from funding and transaction screening through to conversion, payout and the handling of exceptions.
Liquidity and settlement in practice
For payment providers, exchanges and institutions, the question is where stablecoin settlement improves a real operating problem.
That may include slow replenishment between markets, high pre-funding requirements, limited visibility over payment status or the cost of moving funds across currencies and banking windows. It may also include the need to support clients operating beyond local banking hours.
Liquidity remains central to every one of these use cases.
A stablecoin transfer needs sufficient liquidity at the sending side, while the destination market needs enough local currency to complete the intended payment or payout. The route also needs clear controls for wallet addresses, network selection, counterparty checks, transaction screening, data requirements and reconciliation.
As stablecoin use expands, the operating model around it becomes more important. Teams need to connect liquidity, conversion, controls and payout access in a way that supports a dependable payment service.

The Cost of a Failed Cross-Border Payment
A delayed or returned cross-border payment creates more than a repair fee. Payment providers absorb investigation time, treasury pressure, support demand and client risk across the full payment lifecycle.
