About CodeX

CodeX is an international 48-hour hackathon that will bring together 300+ developers, designers, and other techies from all over Europe for a weekend of code.

The hackathon will take place from 17th to 19th June onsite in Riga, Latvia, and online. Participation in the event is free of charge, as well as to make the event even more accessible, accommodation, food, and drinks will be taken care of by CodeX.

You can build whatever tech solution you like during the event or choose a challenge provided by the Challenge Partners, such as Gravity Team.

Day 1 – Friday, 17th June

Register, connect and form teams!

The official opening will be followed by dinner, meeting your mentor, and a night run game.

Day 2 – Saturday, 18th June

Building continues!

Teams and mentors will reunite again in the morning, continue working on their solution and learn from subject matter experts giving keynotes and workshops.

After lunch, participants will have the entire afternoon dedicated to Meetings & Matchmaking. Then, later at night, after mentor meetings, there will be after-hour activities.

Day 3 – Sunday, 19th June

The finish line!

Submit your work by midday and get ready for partner keynotes & presenting your demo versions.

The hackathon will finish off with an awards ceremony starting at 6 pm, where the challenge and CodeX Hackathon winners will be announced.

Then, you can expect to learn about each challenge winner and find out which team has won the €5,000 cash prize from Ubiquity.

The program is built such that participants can connect, learn, solve challenges, and create a mockup solution in a weekend in a high energy environment with mentors and other supporters.

All the activities will take place at the modern and brand new Riga Technical University, which provides all the necessary features so that participants won’t have to worry about anything!

Who Should Apply?

There is something for every skill set and interest, so the application is open to everyone, from individuals looking to team up or an already formed team.

Selection Process

If you’re interested in participating, apply through the CodeX application form.

Each application will be evaluated individually, and selection made by looking at:

• Applicants’ skills;
• Applicants’ background;
• Applicants’ motivation.

Every applicant has to first apply individually, even if you already have a team.

This opportunity is completely free for all selected participants! If you’re by yourself, don’t worry, the organization will find you a buddy to make the most of this weekend!

Applications officially opened on the 29th of April and will close on the 10th of June.
